This black and white, fine art photograph depicts the grandeur and solemnity of a cathedral in Noto, Sicily. The photograph is expertly composed, drawing the viewer's eye through the arch, up an ultra-wide flight of steps, and directly to the cathedral set in the center of the frame. The cathedral, an embodiment of baroque architecture, its curvaceous and concave shapes appear to be competing with their convex counterparts for the viewers attention. Its intricate detailing and dome capped towers stand out against the Mediterranean sky, partially lit by the setting sun, which illuminates the light, stone facade. The solitary silhouetted figure standing at the base of the second flight of stairs, looking up at the cathedral highlights the structure's immense scale and majestic presence. The dramatic lighting, combined with the gazing silhouette, elevates this photograph beyond mere architectural documentation, conveying a sense of awe and reverence, bordering on a, “Damascus road experience.”

This award winning artwork forms part of a limited edition of ten fine art prints. The piece is printed by a master printer on Hahnemühle Fine Art Photo Rag paper, using archival pigment inks. This process of elaboration along with the use of excellent primary materials results in a museum quality print offering improved longevity. Each print is numbered, hand signed and is issued with a certificate of authenticity.
