J’ai débuté l’aquarelle en 1988 en reproduisant avec trois tubes de couleurs primaires un paysage de carte postal.

Le résultat me plaisait et j’ai peins plusieurs autres paysages sur du papier à lettre léger inadapté à cette technique. 

J’ai appris à dessiner et peindre grâce aux livres. J'ai expérimenté diverses techniques artistiques : le dessin au crayon gris, la sanguine, la gouache, le pastel sec et l’huile ainsi que la plume et l’encre de Chine.

Tous les sujets m’intéressent, paysages, portraits, natures mortes, animaux, nus.  

 Chaque nouvelle œuvre est une remise en question permanente et un défi.

 L’aquarelle ne peut pas se rectifier aussi facilement que l'huile où l'acrylique. Parfois, je peins deux ou trois fois le même sujet pour obtenir un résultat qui me convienne.

L’aquarelle c’est d’abord de l’eau. L’eau sur le papier on ne la domine pas, on ne lui impose rien, on la respecte. Elle s’infiltre dans les fibres, elle sèche dans une durée que l’on peut que constater. Tout au long de son cycle, nous pouvons l’accompagner et jouer avec elle.

Poser des pigments sur le papier humide, mélanger les couleurs, laisser glisser et s’étendre des tâches, faire des fondus,  créer des auréoles et des ouvertures de lumières avec une goutte d’eau.

 L’aquarelle naît par les gestes successifs de l’artiste et procure un réel plaisir à donner une vie et une âme au tableau.

En 2012, travailler seul ne me suffisait plus, j’ai pris des cours à Lannion chez Corinne Vomscheid.

Je suis régulièrement des stages avec des aquarellistes professionnels comme Joëlle Krupa, Eugen Gorean, Thierry de Marichalar, Slava et  Victoria Prischedko, Catherine Rey, Catherine Sommelette, Ekaterina Sava.

 Les conseils des artistes sont très enrichissants pour améliorer ma technique,  apprendre à regarder et analyser un sujet à peindre.

 Exposer son travail au public  est toujours une épreuve.Le regard et la sensibilité de l’observateur  sont propres à chaque individu. Cela reste très intéressant de connaître le ressenti de la personne face au tableau.
