Karolina Maria Hałajko jest współczesną, polską malarką i ilustratorką. Głęboko wierzy w to, że sztuka może wpływać pozytywnie na ludzką naturę. Dlatego zasadniczym celem jej sztuki jest ukształtowanie w odbiorcy pozytywnego myślenia o ludziach i świecie.
Z zawodu jest Uprawnionym Inżynierem Geologiem i Specjalistą do spraw Ochrony Środowiska. W wolnym czasie pisze artykuły na swoim blogu pod tytułem "Little Things Happen". Swoje powołanie, fascynację i zamiłowanie do malarstwa odkryła będąc jeszcze dzieckiem na lekcjach plastyki, natomiast wybory związane z zawodem Inżyniera Geologa spowodowały, że swoją pasję musiała odłożyć na później. Po latach powróciła do malarstwa i obecnie maluje dwoma technikami: akwarelą i akrylem na płótnie.

W Nowym Jorku codzienny widok sztuki ulicznej, a także sztuki widzianej w zbiorach muzealnych, sprawił, że po powrocie do Polski Artystka zapragnęła sięgnąć po własny pędzel, tworzyć własną sztukę i malować własne obrazy.
Artystka najbardziej polubiła dwa media malarskie: akwarele i akryl. W akwareli podoba jej się nieprzewidywalność, lekkość, zwiewna kolorystyka i delikatność. Malowanie akwarelą stanowi dla niej proces relaksacyjny, ale także próbę poszukiwania spokoju i dobrej energii. Maluje akwarelą przede wszystkim pejzaże, przedstawiające norskie, oceaniczne i wiejskie sceny o różnych porach roku oraz obrazy z wakacji, czy też wschody i zachody słońca. W swoich obrazach wykorzystuje naturalną kolorystykę, próbując uchwycić realne piękno otaczającego ją świata. Malowanie akrylem na płótnie z kolei pozwala Artystce oderwać się od pędzącej często rzeczywistości. Akryl pozwala jej też wyrazić siebie, jej obecne myśli, które przelewa na płótno. Tematy jej prac akrylowych wyrosły na bazie surrealizmu i są nimi przede wszystkim afroamerykańskie portrety lub postacie kobiet. Mimo iż prace Artystki są skrupulatnie planowane, to w samym procesie malowania Artystka idąc za instynktem maluje swoje obrazy po części spontanicznie.
