This work tells the story of the struggle between light and darkness within man.

The crown on her head is decorated with two symbols - a cross and a crescent moon. One represents peace and humility, the other, challenge and quest. For centuries these signs have divided peoples, but here they are not about religions, but about the inner conflict of the soul, torn between faith and doubt.

Her face is split in two. One eye looks clear and open, the other is hidden by a shadow. In the same way, there are two sides to each of us: the bright side, full of hope, and the dark side, harbouring fears and resentments.

On one shoulder there is a black raven whispering doubts and worries. On the other is a white one, symbolising faith and forgiveness. One voice pulls you down, the other calls you forward.

But which to choose?

She freezes. To reach for the raven is to surrender to the darkness. To reach for the white bird is to let go of the pain and move on.

Maybe it's not about choice. Maybe the power lies in embracing both sides of your soul.

The Queen of Contradictions doesn't decide. Inside her there is an eternal dance of light and darkness - the same one that leads each of us through life.
!!! The artwork is coated with glossy varnish.
