Paulo Galvão is a contemporary Brazilian artist. He graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Pará, Brazil, in 1977. During his studies, he pursued technically complex structural levels in art, dedicating himself tirelessly to individual artistic research. This intense focus on exploring his inner creativity led to an increasingly expansive productivity, driven by a profound desire for expression.

Galvão also graduated from the Conservatory of Fine Arts of the State of Pará in Artistic Drawing and Painting. His commitment to personal rigor resulted in works that exhibit diverse levels of color and texture while maintaining a cohesive unity of thought. His paintings feature fragmented faces on the canvas, creating a harmony between theme and compositional structure. The pre-established planes of his paintings suggest the spheres through which the human being travels, reflecting the artist's own mind and reality through gestures, elements, and figures. His work embodies a lyrical quality, serving as a true statement of his emotions.

He is a member of the Academy of Fine Arts of the State of São Paulo and the Fine Arts Association of the State of São Paulo, Brazil.
