Pour cette série Corinne Mariaud a voyagé à Singapour, Séoul et Tokyo. Elle a trouvé ses modèles grâce aux réseaux sociaux. Corinne Mariaud (née en 1964) est une photographe française qui vit et travaille à Paris. Après un BTS à l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Duperré à Paris, Corinne Mariaud a commencé à travailler comme portraitiste et photographe de mode pour de nombreux magazines (Libération, Le Monde, Marie-Claire, Marie-…), avant de se consacrer à la photographie artistique. Ses séries photographiques évoquent, à travers la figure du corps, la quête d'identité, la lutte de l'individu pour préserver sa singularité dans un monde standardisé.Son oeuvre interroge l'image de la femme et sa place dans la société contemporaine, le diktat sur l’apparence, les stéréotypes sur le féminin et le masculin. La série Fake i Real Me est présentée dans l'exposition "Human +, the future of our species" au Singapore Art Science Museum en 2017. Elle travaille actuellement sur le thème des nouvelles masculinités et de la transition de genre.
