La fibre provient de l’association Lin et Chanvre Bio, située en Normandie. Elle nous a insufflé l’idée de faire dialoguer l’histoire de cette plante avec son territoire. Forte de son patrimoine maritime, la région normande ne peut renier ses liens avec le chanvre qui servait historiquement à réaliser cordages, voiles et calfatages sur les navires.
Étreinte peut alors laisser entrevoir une lampe de bateau, sa membrure ou encore ses poulies.
La plante revendique son é, ses forces, ses atouts pour faire jaillir des souvenirs et avancer vers l’avenir.
Related themes
Tous deux formés à l’école Boulle, Paul en monture en bronze et Inès en tapisserie d’ameublement, nous cherchons à nous inscrire dans une nouvelle forme de design et d’artisanat plus responsable. A travers l’atelier DAMA, nous avons en effet pour but de contribuer à susciter un intérêt grandissant pour le chanvre en lui faisant place dans nos intérieurs.
Nos rencontres avec certains des nombreux acteurs ionnés et impliqués autour du renouveau du chanvre français ont permis de mieux comprendre les multiples potentialités et enjeux pour notre avenir.
Ces rencontres ont également confirmé notre volonté d’impulser avec eux un imaginaire positif,
désirable autour de cette plante grâce au design et à ses créations d’exception.
Nous travaillons le chanvre sous forme d’un biocomposite 100% naturel développé par nos soins,
en dualité avec l’acier, métal recyclable à l’infini, que nous patinons et oxydons de manière naturelle.
